July 28, 2010, 9:02 pm

On West 18th Street, a makeshift memorial continues to grow.....honoring the memory of two mothers killed in an apartment fire.  CLICK FOR VIDEO  On Wednesday, family and friends of the late Tyreesha Richardson and Gwen Henry met in front of the fire scene, to remember the women they love.   "You never know how much somebody means to you until they are gone," said Gwen's son Mario.  "You never know how many people loved them and missed them, until stuff like this happens."  The fire broke out around 4 a.m. Sunday.  Fire investigators at this time, are still looking for a cause.  The two women leave behind several children.  Many of them lost everything.  While the families continue to grieve, Tyreesha's sister Alysha tells us that  the community has stepped up to offer a helping hand.   "The community has helped us, family and friends did an awesome job," said Alysha.  "Some people knew Tyreesha and Gwen, some people did not.  But they've helped out tremendously."  A benefit is scheduled for Friday at the Booker T. Washington Center.  All of the proceeds go to Tyreesha and Gwen's kids.  As loved ones continue go through the healing process, the continued support means the world.  "Everybody knows how good they were to everybody," said Mario.  "We need the money to help bury them right, and take care of the kids."
